Welcome

Welcome to Brisbane Bushwalkers (BBW), the oldest and largest bushwalking club in Queensland. Established in 1948, and now with well over 700 members, BBW will have a number of groups walking and scrambling in the south-east Queensland region, and beyond each weekend and sometimes during the week. Other outdoor activities on the program at times are kayaking, abseiling and cycling.

South East Ridge, Richard Lukacs

The club meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at 7.30pm at the Newmarket Memorial Hall, corner of Enoggera Road and Ashgrove Avenue, Newmarket (Google Map). (Note, because of Christmas, there is no meeting on the 4th Wednesday in December.)

New members are welcome at all meetings, where the Membership Officer will brief potential new members about how the club operates and how to get started into bushwalking.

Do be sure to read our About Us page, and also read the New Members section if you are considering joining.

Then if you live in Brisbane or close by in south-east Queensland, or if you are planning an extended visit, click through to our registration page, register, print out the membership form and bring it to a meeting.
